| PLACES TO RIDE - North and East of Antlers, South of McAlester Honobia Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA) covers over 124,OOO acres, Three Rivers WMA covers over 450,000 acres, and the Ouachita National Forest covers over 1 million acres. The riding is GREAT in the beautiful hills and mountains of southeastern Oklahoma. ATV riding is allowed on the miles and miles of dirt roads throughout the WMAs with a "Land Access Permit" that can be purchased at any place that sells hunting and fishing licenses. There are local stores, including WalMart stores, which do so throughout the area. The land access permit is an annual permit (Jan-Dec) that is $16 for an Oklahoma resident and $25 for an out-of-state resident. Maps are provided. There are many entrances to the WMAs, some are along Highway 271 north of Antlers near Clayton, and on Highway 3 east of Antlers. To get to Clayton from McAlester, take Highway 1 east then south on Highway 2 to Clayton. You can go south on Highway 271 from Clayton. |

| PLACES TO RIDE - North of McAlester Many people ride in the Canadian River bed near the Eufaula Dam. Riding there is mostly in sand. To get there, go north of McAlester on Highway 69, exit on Highway 9A and go east. The road joins Highway 9, continue east until you get to the community of Enterprise, or Whitefield which is a little further east, then go north until you get to the river. |
